Jetse de Jong Trio

The Jetse de Jong Trio brings to the stage their pursuit of serenity and passion in music.

In an overcrowded world, where people are getting tired of their smartphones and social media, the trio brings their audience an answer.

Whilst listening to their original compositions a wide source of inspiration becomes evident. If one adds up Chopin’s Nocturnes, Northern-European folk melodies, Jazz improvisation and even Shona Mbira music from Zimbabwe one gets an idea of the the rich atmosphere surrounding concerts by the trio.  Comparisons are quickly made with other pianotrio’s like the Tord Gustavsen Trio and Esbjorn Svensson Trio.

The trio was formed on the Conservatory of Amsterdam, on drums Roope Kantonen (Finland) and on electric bass Robert Rebane (Estonia). In 2017 the first EP, 'Prana', was released. It is available on Spotify and other streaming services.

Aurel Violas Trio

Trio led by French drummer Aurel Violas. After having studied and lived in Paris, Brussels, Philadelphia (US) and Amsterdam, Aurel is currently based in Amsterdam where he formed his own trio with Jetse de Jong (piano) and Daniel Nagel (double bass). They perform Aurel's compositions and arrangements, strongly influenced by Ari Hoenig, Vijay Iyer and Steve Coleman's Music.

The Spirit of New Orleans

A collective dedicated to play the New Orleans piano styles of Dr. John, James Booker, Professor Longhair and many more related artists. Line-ups vary from solo to sextet, without losing that vital swinging energy which is so recognizable for New Orleans music.

The New Arrangements Nonet

The New Arrangements Nonet is lead by Icelandic arranger, composer and trumpet player  Eiríkur Rafn Stefánsson. Repertoire varies from Brazilian songs to American Songbook.

Gumbeaux

This quartet plays the Funk, Jazz and Blues of New Orleans, driven by the secondline drumming of Toon Oomen, groovy basslines by Jet Stevens, the mindblowing trumpet and vocals of Coos Zwagerman and the rolling piano sound of Jetse de Jong.
